Forty transitions, none of them agreeing
The old pages each had their own easing curves. Cards snapped at 220ms, buttons ran at 200ms, panels at 250ms with a different curve, and the result read as slightly unsteady even when you could not point at why. There is one motion scale now: a fast tier for anything under a finger, a base tier for surfaces, and a slow tier for things that arrive once.
The decorative layer got smaller
Reduced the decorative layer at the same time. The floating orbs behind the hero were fighting the type for attention and costing paint on every scroll. They are gone. What is left is a faint grid that fades out before it reaches the content and a single hairline that marks where sections split.
Type, measure and numerals
Typographic scale tightened: display headings get slightly negative tracking and tighter leading, body copy gets a touch more line height and a max measure so it stops running the full width of a 2560px monitor. Numerals in tables and metrics are tabular, so columns line up.
Reduced motion is a tested path
If you have motion reduction on, all of it collapses to a static layout — no float, no reveal, no parallax. That path is tested, not an afterthought.
